CHET BAKER

Let's Get Lost

*****

Metrodome DVD, £19.99
Filmed by the fashion photographer Bruce Weber, this evocative 1988 portrait of the great jazz trumpeter and vocalist Chet Baker has become a must-see cult movie, especially as its subject died not long after it was made. The 56-year-old face may look twice its age but the music is sublime and even if this wasn't a fascinating snapshot of a legend in rapid decline, it would be worth watching for such exquisite, haunting ballads as 'Moon and Sand' and 'Almost Blue'.
