Beal Tuinne – Live At St James Church, Dingle

*****

Tara Records TARACD4022, £10.99
Based on poems in Irish by the late Caoimhin O Cinneide, with music composed and played on pedal organ by Shaun Davey (Brendan Voyage, Emigrant Suite) these harmonised songs are performed by the poet's daughter Eilis Kennedy with Davey's wife Rita Connolly, Seamus Begley and a superb group of singers and traditional musicians from the Dingle peninsula. This is exceptionally beautiful, soul-touching music from theheart of Irish Gaeldom. The informative sleeve notes include translated texts.
