Amec Foster Wheeler makes waves with £75m subs contract
The Ministry of Defence deal, which extends over five years, will see the firm supply independent nuclear propulsion safety and technical advice. It was awarded following a competitive tender.
The work will be delivered by a specialist team at Amec Foster Wheeler, which employs about 40,000 people in more than 55 countries and generated some £5.5 billion in revenues last year.

Hide AdClive White, president of the group’s Clean Energy Europe business, said: “This contract consolidates Amec Foster Wheeler’s position as the largest provider of independent safety assurance in the UK nuclear sector.”
The Clean Energy Europe arm employs 1,200 people.
