Booze patrols catch youths
POLICE seized alcohol from seven youths aged as young as 14 during two days of patrols aimed at tackling underage drinking and antisocial behaviour.
A patrol found three youths, all aged 14, drinking in the area beside Appin Drive in Prestonpans and Cockenzie Power Station at 5:30pm on Friday.
A second patrol on Saturday afternoon found four youths drinking at the same locations.
A police spokeswoman said: "These matters will be progressed with the parents of the children and appropriate partner agencies."
