Capital nets top UK city to visit gong
The Capital scooped top spot in the Conde Nast Readers' Travel Awards 2010, going one better than its runner-up prize last year. The city swept the board with high scores in many categories, particularly for aesthetics/architecture and user-friendliness. It amassed a total haul of 91.56 points from a maximum of 100.
Council Leader, Cllr Jenny Dawe, said: "This result is great news for the city and confirms what we all know: Edinburgh is a great place in which to visit, invest, live, work and study.
