Catwalk bargains raise cash for charity

STYLISH bargains were on show at this year's Cancer Research UK Charity Catwalk event.

The sell-out show, held at Edinburgh Academy's Magnusson Performing Arts Centre, raised 2,200 for the charity.

Local volunteers modelled clothes from Cancer Research charity shops around the city.

Manager of the charity's shop in Raeburn Place, Carrie Lennon, said: "We get some great donations at our shops across the city, including some really fabulous vintage items.

"Holding a fashion show seemed the best way to show off what we've got, and to raise funds for the fight against cancer at the same time.

"All the money raised will go towards funding our life-saving work and we're already looking forward to next year's event."
