A 515lb Atlantic bluefin tuna caught off the Isle of Harris is believed to be the biggest catch of its kind ever recorded in Scotland.

A boat operated by a local tour firm, Kilda Cruises, struggled for an hour before landing the giant fish.

The nine-feet long fish was caught ten miles west of Leverburgh in the Outer Hebrides.
