Human remains found at Salisbury Crags
Police were today removing the remains after they were found by a hill walker on Friday.
The area in which the bones were discovered has been cordoned off by police and the remains are being taken away for forensic tests to establish their age and to confirm they are human.

Hide AdA police spokesperson said: “We are investigating after a member of the public discovered what might be human bones on the Salisbury Crags at 5.30pm on Friday night.
“Although the age of the bones is not known, initial reports suggest they are not recent.
“Efforts to recover the bones are under way and an inquiry to identify them will start.”
