Constructive approach
Dan Buglass (Farming, 14 May) ascribes the large number of fine houses that have been built in rural Ireland to the laxity in planning controls.
It isn't laxity, but a constructive, proactive approach to building in the countryside that is a great improvement on our restrictive, stultifying approach to such development.
