Gold opportunity
The devastating decision by the Loch Lomond Planning Authority to turn down the application for the Tyndrum gold mine (your report, 19 August) proves the people responsible for this decision are bereft of foresight.
They have turned down a project that would have no effect on wildlife but would be a great help to the future of the area and Scotland as a whole. I don't think there will be many other planning applications to start gold mining in Scotland. Not only would it provide much needed work for the area, but it would also be a great tourist attraction.

Hide AdI have spoken to a lot of people who can't understand why the project was turned down. I would like to ask the Scottish Government to look at the situation as soon as possible.
