Veterans' plight

I find it intrinsically sad that a veteran of the Falklands War had to create a scene in the Scottish Parliament in order to highlight the plight of the Scottish veterans' group Feba (your report, 19 March).

The fact that grants were promised by Defence Secretary Des Browne, but failed to materialise, brings further discredit to the political process in general and Westminster in particular.
