Robbers take £10,000 from Aberdeen supermarket

THREE men have stolen more than £10,000 from a supermarket during an armed robbery.

Police said the men stole the money from Tesco Express in Great Western Road, Aberdeen, at around 10:45pm on Sunday.

Grampian Police said they were armed with a bladed weapon.

Detective Inspector Norman Stevenson said: “Detectives are making inquiries into the incident today and I want to offer our assurance to the community that the force is committed to identifying those responsible and to bringing them to justice.”

He appealed for help from the community to identify the men.

The robbers are in their late teens or early-20s and were wearing dark clothes and hooded tops.

The men also had their faces partially covered.
