Station lifts to arrive early
THE installation of new lifts at Haymarket station is to be completed by the end of 2010 – a year earlier than planned.
Work will start on the project in April, Transport Scotland has announced. The 1.5 million installation was originally due to be finished in autumn next year.
The new opening date mean the lifts will be ready for an expected increase in passengers when a new Edinburgh-Glasgow link via Bathgate opens.
