Tarantulas make public appearance
The pink-toe tarantulas, which are about 10cm across, were born last year at sister attraction the Blue Planet Aquarium in Cheshire.
After spending almost 12 months in quarantine, they are now set to join Deep Sea World’s colony of tree-dwelling spiders, which originate from Guyana. Visitors will be able to watch the tarantulas from outside their display, and can also climb inside and spot them through a two-metre acrylic viewing tower.
