Top fashion store heads to the Capital

A MAJOR American fashion store is heading to the Capital.

Anthropologie, which has opened just two stores in the UK, both in London, has taken on a site George Street and is due to open a three-storey outlet by next summer, it was reported today.

The Philadelphia-based firm specialises in upmarket women's fashion, jewellery, accessories and luxury home goods.

It first opened in Pennsylvania in 1992 and now has 135 stores across America. Its initial London store on Regent Street, which opened last October, was such a success that the company opened a second in King's Road in March of this year.
