Police open fire on bus fares protesters
POLICE in Pakistan's capital, Islamabad, yesterday fired warning shots and tear gas to end protests that started over of a bus fare increase.
The protests started on Thursday as students and residents unhappy with the 20 per cent increase in bus fares blocked a main road.
