Basketball: Deng back with a bang
Led by Chicago Bulls NBA star Luol Deng with 32 points, Great Britain made an encouraging start to their Eurobasket campaign with a 91-82 away win over Hungary in Szolnok last night.
Deng, who also had nine rebounds, was playing in his first game for two years for Team GB. He was strongly supported by another NBA star, now with CSSK Moscow, Pops Mensah Bonsu, who had 14 points and a huge 18 rebounds.
GB are at home to Macedonia at Newcastle on Sunday, Macedonia having beaten Ukraine away 71-58 last night.
