Commonwealth Games: Scots netballers face exit
SCOTLAND’S netballers are on the brink of elimination after a crushing 68-24 defeat to the giants of Jamaica on Sunday.
The Thistles were out-scored 19-2 in a torrid third-quarter spell as the medal hopefuls used their height advantage to dominate at the SECC with 6’5” shooter Romelda Aiken netting 42 goals.
Karin Connell scored seven for Scotland who pulled back the deficit in the fourth period.
But the reverse leaves the hosts with a 1-2 record ahead of Tuesday’s critical meeting with Malawi.
