It was a tale of two halves for Neil Lennon’s side after the 3-1 loss to begin their Europa League group stage campaign.
After a lively opening period, the hosts fell behind to Rade Krunic’s header before Brahim Diaz made the most of Milan’s increasing pressure in the period to put the visitors 2-0 up before the break.
Lennon made a couple of substitutions at the half and altered his shape, going into a 4-3-3/4-1-4-1 formation and seeing a much better showing.
Mohamed Elyounoussi gave hope of an unlikely comeback with a 76th minute header, though Jens Petter Hauge wrapped the game up just over a minute into stoppage time.
