Alloa are braced for a raid for manager Paul Hartley if Motherwell boss Stuart McCall leaves Fir Park for Sheffield United.

McCall has been targeted by the League One side following the departure of Danny Wilson and, should he be tempted south, former Scotland international midfielder Hartley is seen as a strong candidate for moving up to the SPL. (Scotsman)

Rangers fans angry

Rangers fans are calling for director Brian Stockbridge to resign, after he apparently filmed chairman Malcolm Murray appearing a bit shaky during a night out in London.

The fans were unhappy that members of the board had been splashed across a tabloid front page after the video appeared online.

Andy Kerr, of the Rangers Supporters Assembly, said: “The lack of class is not something Rangers fans have been used to.” (Daily Record)

• Rangers are set to confirm today that they have signed Nicky Clark, after the 21-year-old made a serious impact for Queen of the South.
