The fact that Uddingston had scored 341 against them earlier in the season must have been on the leaders' minds as they headed through to Bothwell Castle on Saturday morning. Second-placed Watsonians put in an equally clinical bowling performance in their win over Carlton, but had a few wobbles in the batting department before getting over the finish line. Opening bowlers Mike Legget and Paddy Sadler bowled another good spell together, the former grabbing the key wicket of Preston Mommsen early on for one. Captain Steve Gilmour battled hard for 50 and teenager Rajan Bhopal showed his promise with 33, but they fell to Vijay Saisubramanian and Stuart Chalmers respectively as Carlton posted 158-9. Watsonians opening batsman James Easton looked to be leading his side to victory after Andy Learmonth (9) and Tim Weston (19) were out. Easton had made 41 when he was bowled by spinner Ross Lyons and in the end Ross Paxton and Sadler had to see their side home by two wickets. Dunfermline Knights got back to winning ways, Vasu Reddy taking 6-32 as they defeated Clydesdale at Titwood. In a thrilling game at Forthill, Greenock fought hard to secure just their second league victory of 2010. Captain Neil Macrae top scored with 52 as Aberdeenshire's good run of form continued with victory over McCrea FS West. They have now beaten Forfarshire, Watsonians and West in the last three weeks but had to work hard at Hamilton Crescent. Macrae's runs helped his side post 217-5, but the hosts looked like they had a chance with Scotland cap Dougie Lockhart going well, but he was out for 63 and eventually they fell 22 runs short.
